Miss Sydney Boone

Hello Penhold Panthers! My name is Sydney Boone and I am thrilled to be joining the team at Penhold Elementary, as well as the community of Penhold. I grew up in Red Deer, Alberta, and I received my Bachelors of Education from the University of Alberta, with a degree in Middle Years Education. I spent the last year teaching grade five at Hugh Sutherland within Chinook's Edge School Division, but previously completed my student teaching practicums within the community of Penhold. I am elated to be back at Penhold Elementary where I will be teaching, growing and learning alongside grade four students. 

In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family and friends, downhill and cross country ski, golf, bike, and kayak. Ultimately, spending time outdoors is my favourite thing to do! I have a little nephew that I also love to spend time with. 

I always knew I wanted to be a teacher because of my love for caring for others, and helping them achieve great things. I am so excited to get to know all students and support them in any way that I can so we can all have a fun and engaging learning environment this year.
